"Απαιτείται μακρά εργασία προκειμένου ο μαθητής μιας μυητικής διδασκαλίας να φτάσει σε ανώτερο επίπεδο συνείδησης. Κι αν φτάσει του είναι εξίσου δύσκολο, αν όχι δυσκολότερο, να κρατηθεί στο επίπεδο αυτό. Γι’ αυτό και η σταθερότητα θεωρείται κορωνίδα της μύησης. Είναι αυτή η στιγμή κατά την οποία ο μαθητής μπορεί να πει, όπως ο ιεροφάντης της αρχαίας Αιγύπτου: «Είμαι σταθερός, τέκνο σταθερού, η σύλληψη και η γέννησή μου συντελέστηκαν στο πεδίο της σταθερότητας». Στην Καββάλα αναφέρεται ότι ο όφις μπορεί να ανέλθει μέχρι ορισμένα σεφιρόθ, αλλά του είναι αδύνατον να φτάσει στην περιοχή την οποία απαρτίζουν οι τρεις σεφιρόθ Κεθέρ, Χοχμά και Μπινάχ.
